ABOUT
Leo Aguirre is a writer, director, and visual artist raised on the U.S.–Mexico border. Working as both a filmmaker and photographer, his projects span a wide range of styles and themes across advertising, music video, and narrative landscapes. His script for his debut feature, Verano, was selected for the 2025 Sundance Screenwriters & Directors Lab and is a recipient of the 2025-2026 Academy Nicholl Fellowship.
